Law enforcement classes

EZ Defense Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics

This training is designed to give officers an edge when they are forced to physically defend themselves. This is the advantage they need when they are fighting for their weapon, when using their weapon is impractical or when their weapon is unavailable.

  • EZ Defense Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics Training is unlike any other. In addition to defensive tactics, classes integrate tactical communication, weapon retention, handcuffing procedures, and subject control.
  • The techniques in this class are designed to save an officer from serious injury or death when unable to use an intermediate weapon or the weapon has failed and using a firearm is impractical or unavailable.
  • The techniques being taught are simple and effective.  The officers will retain these techniques.
  • These classes afford an opportunity to train in an environment that is as realistic as possible.
  • These classes help officers to function under stress, making all other DT training more effective.
  • We are the trained and practiced experts in providing a realistic training environment and giving appropriate resistance and feedback. This develops a winning mindset, the participant’s brain tells them they can survive and overcome.

Easy to learn, easy to retain and easy to use.

Without knowing what this training is like it is impossible to understand the profound impact we have made upon the officers we have worked with. This training is what officers need to give them the edge in an all out defense of life confrontation.

Here is what some officers who have taken the EZ Defense Law Enforcement Tactical Defense classes have to say:

Why should you choose EZ Defense West Michigan as instructors for your training?

We understand the generally accepted norm and the desire to use your own personnel to instruct your tactical training. However, we would like to point out several, very good, reasons why outsourcing this training to us is a more practical approach:

This training requires the use of a suit specifically designed for the class. These suits are somewhat custom in nature and will fit only individuals of identical sizes (height, weight, build, head size, etc.). By using us and our equipment you save this capital investment.

The strenuous nature of teaching in the suit requires a high degree of fitness as well as specialized training. This saves countless training hours and hundreds of training dollars.

Instructor training is counter productive to defensive tactic training as it is approached from the reverse angle. Why would you want an officer trained to be a “good” opponent and not a winner in a confrontation? Let us accept the role as losers.

Injuries are somewhat common to the instructors. While typically not serious in nature, many of these injuries would hinder the officer in the performance of their regular duties. You save your people to do their job by letting us do ours. What would happen if your training instructor received an injury of a serious nature?

The more experienced the instructor is in working in the suit the better able he is to provide the appropriate resistance and feedback. We teach often and are always practiced; this would be very hard for an instructor teaching only one, two or three times a year.
